Are You A Warrior?

I'm pretty sure this is "old news" by now, since I completed the race on April 30th, but I just recently got the pictures back from the race and thought it might deserve a small mention on my blog. This year I participated in my first Warrior Dash with a friend. It was a BLAST and I can't wait to participate in another one, or do something similar (must involve mud!) like Spartan or Tough Mudder.

If you're looking for something fun to do with friends, or if you want to push yourself to see how good of shape you really are in (I had a small reality check)....this is a great event! I will give a brief warning, though: some people show up in strange, rather-revealing "outfits", there is beer after the race, and the music is terrible....but other than that, one of the most fun days I've had in awhile!

So I've been reading this book "Revolution in World Missions" by K.P. Yohannan this past week....and something happened tonight where I just could not put it down. I'm not even going to try to capture the message that KP is sharing in this book, but I felt compelled to at least make a note and tell everyone I know: if you are a believer and have not read this book, READ IT. And then read it again. I plan to.

This book has seriously made me question almost everything I've ever believed to be true and right regarding missions. It's brought me to the point where I've had to ask myself, "Am I truly living my life the way God called Christians to live? Are any of us?" It's a scary thought and a scary place to bring yourself to....but I urge you to read it. Read it with an open heart and see what God may be wanting to reveal to you.

They will send you a free copy of the book, all you have to do is ask (no shipping charges or anything...free and clear). Or if you know me personally, get in touch with me and I will give you or mail you a copy.
