Hold fast. We know that in all things God does have a purpose, even if we can't see it at the present moment.Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04765007403864531820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4294858743929892033.post-31606485634127816032011-10-15T21:11:06.581-07:002011-10-15T21:11:06.581-07:00To Mara: Well...whether it was God who specificall...To Mara: Well...whether it was God who specifically allowed it to happen or Satan trying to stump me, I ended up having an adventurous day and some special time with the Lord - so I'm thankful! But that is an interesting observation. I think I agree partially. Satan does try to mess us up. But other times I think it is the discipline of God coming in, trying to get our attention so that He can teach us something else about Himself, or about ourselves. Or even to protect us. Whatever it is, all can be worked for our good if we trust in the Lord and turn to Him. He's got the alternative route for sure, and even more than just alternative, it really is the ONE ROUTE.Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04765007403864531820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4294858743929892033.post-46561002854300371282011-10-15T11:07:14.793-07:002011-10-15T11:07:14.793-07:00Our instinct is to blame God for everything that h...Our instinct is to blame God for everything that happens, but I think it is Satan who disrupts our carefully-planned day, and it is God who offers us the "alternate route" to fix it - like the flight to CA you finally found. Yes, it required you to wait around and it wasn't direct, but God still provided a way out, and ultimately you won. God allows such trials because it builds our character - it helps us to acquaint ourselves with inconvenient situations, so when we face a truly bad situation, we can handle it with a cool head and say, "Lord, please show me the alternate route." And at the end of the day we can say, "Lord, thank you for being there and providing me with a way out."Mara A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00484574814523220378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4294858743929892033.post-34510255372647842382011-10-10T23:18:42.977-07:002011-10-10T23:18:42.977-07:00I can not tell you how much I understand this. BUT, it's not about me. It's hard to accept, but we are here for His glory and His glory is good. And as much as we want to do certain things, even with the best of intentions, that's not always where He wants us. he has the map, not us. We need to just let go and follow His lead.
I am learning this. Slowly.
Much love! :o)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
